Hilde brings over 30 years of experience in drug discovery and preclinical development, with a strong track record of advancing innovative biologics from concept to early clinical stages. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of PHiRE Consulting bv, she advises startups on high-impact R&D and development strategies.
An expert in single-domain antibodies and translational immunology, she has driven platform innovations toward commercial potential and contributed to more than 20 patent applications. Her career spans both industry and academia, combining deep scientific expertise with strategic leadership.
Hilde previously served as Chief Scientific Officer at Biotalys and held senior roles at Ablynx, where she played a key role in landmark partnerships. She has also held positions at the University of Antwerp, VIB, and VUB. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
